Puppy Bowl

So today was the Super Bowl (which was a really good game by the way), and before that on Animal Planet, they had the Puppy Bowl. Which all it really was, was puppies running around and playing on a carpet that looked like a football field. It was really cute but only for a little bit, (they played it all day). So anyway, Piper throws a fit and barks at the t.v. everytime a dog is on the screen. She tries to get Chester in on the action of defending her turf, however Chester just thinks she is a crazy girl and goes back to sleep. Well today she was staring at the t.v. for about 1/2 an hour. Everytime she would walk by it she would stop and watch. It was pretty dang funny!

My new yoga partner...

So I've been trying to get back into yoga after being out of it for a couple of years. And I'm so stoked cause I have a new yoga partner!

Chester in his upward facing dog pose. Or would it be called just upward facing pose? Oh Chester!

New Year New Possibilities

Well it's finally 2010!

That is so crazy. And let me tell ya, I have a good feeling about this year. Not that that means anything, but as far as feelings go it's all good. Warm fuzzies type of thing. Any way I have decided that this is going to be dubbed my "Clean" year. Let me explain:
Instead of the same ole' same ole' resolutions... lose weight, work out, give stuff up.... I really want to clean up my life. I want to clean up my house, and finish unpacking everything. Yes...we still have boxes in the back rooms (outa sight outa mind!) Anyway, to clean up our office area (aka organize organize organize). To clean up my potty mouth when driving (If I am to have kids any time soon I better start now, don't want them telling grandparents what they heard mommy say on the way over! eek). To clean up my attitude. To clean up my diet, which I am most excited about, thanks to my cousin Mandy! I am really excited about this year and all the possibilities. Now, in the back of my mind I can just picture all the bad things that could happen. Even worse economy, health issues that could come about, and
**gulp** turning the big 3-0...etc...etc...etc. But really the promise of all the good things is far outweighing the bad.

So here is to a fresh start in a new year. A new decade even! I wish everyone a great 2010!!!

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire....and other stuff.

Well Christmas came and went and here is what went on. I'm really pooped after today so there are lots of pictures and not much comments. Well our holiday started last night where we exchanged ornaments on Christmas Eve. We decided to start this tradition since when we got married we had no ornaments.

I got Adam a Yoda ornament! He loved it!
Your ornament I am ...yes.

This is the ornament Adam got me.
He knows me too well that I love shiny blingy things!!

And here is our tree Christmas morning. (and yes...we did just buy one huge roll of wrapping paper so this is probably what our tree will look like next year!! haha!!)
Look what I got for Christmas!! An Adam!
Here is the loot! Chester is checking it out. And yes Adam got me RockBand 2, and a couple of games! Can't wait to play! Tomorrow we are gonna sing Beatles songs and kill some zombies.
Then we went over to my parents house. I don't know what was happening in this picture!

Then I was able to get a nice one! aawwww
Adam is meeting their new kitten Clem.
Here Trevor is waiting for dinner!
Clem, the tree and Trevors wicked awesome electric drum thing.
Clem looking out the window. (and what does he see? probably popcorn popping on the apricot tree)
More cats checking out the loot.
Waiting for some grub.
Such silliness!
Then we headed across the valley and went to Adam's parents house. Here is his mom Mary. See...it runs in the family to put bows on your head (apparently!)
Some family sitting around
More family sitting around.
There was a Suns game on so that occupied most of the guys time in the house.

Kevin got these cool air pump guns that shoot paintball sized nerf balls. They were a blast. For about 2 hours the whole house became a war zone. And i am sooooo tired.
Kevin and Aaron getting ready to do battle. (And Adam is still watching the game)

Adam's dad Ray put the Ian out cold with a bottle.
Adam preparing to go into battle.

I'm gonna shoot your eye out!!
more getting ready!
Scraps was feeling neglected cause he had to sit outside while everyone was inside having fun. Poor Scrappy-doo.

Adam's dad Ray trying to get a good shot in.
Adri resting after our war.

And that was Christmas! For some reason it didn't really feel like Christmas, however I had fun with everyone, at all the families. And now I'm tired and sooo ready for bed, and will dream of sugar plums dancing in my head! Merry Christmas everyone!

Pretty lights...

So last night most of the Malnar clan went to see the Zoo Lights. I love the zoo anyway, so being able to combine twinkling christmas lights, and the zoo is fantastic. Plus it wasn't even that cold outside, which was very nice. Last time I went I froze my patooty off! It was also extremely crowded, but we made it to the main lot and stalked some people who were leaving, at least they were nice about it. But this year my nephew Ian got to go! Once he was out of his stroler and his bottle daze was wearing off he was really interested in the lights. Then afterwards we all went back to our house and had some hot Cranapple cider. (yum) So here are a few pics!

Adam and Chris getting Ian stoked to go see some zoo lights.

This peacock was very cool.

I just loved all the trees with the lights in them. I can only imagine how long it took them to put them all on the trees.

Everyone just hanging around.

Little Ian got a little cold so Adam was helping to wrap him up.

This was one of my favorite trees. I love snowflakes!

Everyone milling around again.

I love this picture of Adam and Ian.

The elusive Kevin trying to get away from the camera. But me being the stalkaratzi that I am was able to get one!

This tree was huge! You could see it from the parking lot. So pretty tho!

Just some more pretty trees.

Our first attempt at a nice picture. Adam blew in my face right before we took the picture.

So I thought I would be funny.

Then I thought we had it but Adam made a cheesy smile.

Finally a nice one together.

Good times.
