Yay for....!!
This week it was a little hard for me to come up with something I am grateful for. It's not that it was a horrible week, but it was more of a blah week. Not much happened. I was still getting over this flu or cold or whatever it was. Then there was work...nothing exciting ever happens there. So there isn't that much to talk about! Possibly next week... after all the Halloween festivities! So this week, I think I will get a little bit sentimental and talk about family.
I am extremly grateful for family. Mine, other peoples all families. Now extended families are great, but nothing beats the close personal relationships of immediate family.
I am grateful for my husband Adam...
Cause when I need to vent about the crappy job I have, or the mean people I encounter throughout the day/week, he is always there to listen. Granted sometimes he solicits advise that I don't want to hear, but at least he is there. He makes me laugh, and is a voice of reason from time to time. He is my best friend, and even though he drives me crazy at times, I still love him.
I am grateful for my parents and brother.
(I don't have a pic of my stepdad Billy)
I also am grateful for my in-laws. They welcomed me into their family like I'd always belonged there. And they are fun, I always enjoy going over there and hanging out with them!
Again I'm missing some pictures. I don't have a picture of Ian's mom Liz. (Still love ya Liz!) I obviously need to be more diligent in taking pictures!
I'm also grateful for my friends. I don't have pictures of all of them, so I won't post the ones I do have for fear of making anyone jeleaous!! Haha!! Cause I'm so cool everyone wants to be my friend!! =P
But over the past week or so, I have noticed, I believe that I'm not the only one that is grateful for good family and friends. For some their husband is their rock and helps them weather through the truly horrible times of their lives, when parents and friends just can't do the trick. For some, it is their immediate families...parents and siblings. Cause to have a good support system, is a very good thing indead! And for others, it's good friends, who are an extention of our immediate families.
So here is to families!! They drive us crazy but where would we be without them!!

Yay for....!!
This week I have been batteling a cold. I think it's a cold anyway. I have been pretty miserable for the past 3 days, it is just now getting a little better. So this week i am greatful for:
NYQUIL!! This stuff is some of the most disgusting stuff on earth but it sure does make me feel good.. and fall asleep!
Another thing I am greatful for is Advil Cold & Sinus. When my sinuses fill up with crud and I have to start breathing out of my mouth like a caveman... This definately helps dry that stuff up!
And last but surely not least:PUFFS PLUS! with lotion is great, and the ones with Vicks is even better. Even though my nose still gets a little dry, these help me keep my sanity, and don't make me feel like my nose is going to fall off. The only thing I don't like is that it makes my face feel really oily from the lotion..(yes my whole face sometimes you blow your nose, and if you don't have an air tight seal around your nose with the tissue... that snot WILL find a way out.!) So thanks for getting me through the cold season Puffs. I love you.

A cabin in the woods
Jill is also very happy... if you will turn your attention down to the Wendy's cup sitting in her lap...we went to the Wendy's in Payson and decided to go in, since we needed a pit stop anyway and the drive-thru looked busy. Well basically they had a trainee working the counter and it took us about 25 minutes to just get to the counter! Sheesh!!
We finally got there after the Wendy's fiasco... This is where we arrived!! Jill's cabin! Yay! The thing I found funny was that every single cabin that I've ever been too (friends wise anyway) is always decorated from the 70-80's era... why?
Toni is excited to finally arrive.
Once we got settled in we went into to Showlow and had dinner at one of the best places EVER!! Toni had recommended we go to Charlie Clarks (in Pinetop) because they are known for their world class prime rib. Jill and I were Charlie Clarks virgins so we were ready to go! HOLY COW!! The meat just melted inside your mouth. I definately recomment this place for anyone who goes to Pinetop. Plus it had great bread and appitizers! We rolled out of this place.
Yes you are seeing correctly that prime rib was 16 oz. of heavenly meatness! And Jill really likes it.
After that we rented a movie (cause a certain someone forgot to bring movies up...me) and headed home to enjoy our food digestion process, and change into stretchy pants!
After we watched our movie we made some hot cocoa and went outside. If I had a good enough camera I would have taken a pic of the sky. It was so amazing! There were so many stars, and we all saw some shooting stars. And you could see the milky way. So cool. Alas...I only have a little point and shoot digital so all I would have gotten was blackness. Oh well.
This is pretty much what it looked like tho! This is what the temp was about 10ish...later it dropped about 10 more degrees! BRRRRR! But I loved it!
Enjoying some hot cocoa, while bundled up.
The next day we had to take a picture in this awesome tree.
Later we went into Showlow to return the movie and Jill saw this sign! We told her she should have done the pee-pee dance but she was afraid of the implications to passing motorists.
This was some of the burn damage from the Rodeo/Chediski fire, so sad, but there are some baby trees popping up!
Every time we seemed to get into the car Jill fell asleep. So this is my attempt at a artsy-fartsy picture at catching her alseep.
Then on our way home we stopped by Woods Canyon Lake in the Forest lakes area. So pretty.
I just loved the fall colors intermingled with the pine trees. This is my favorite picture. Another artsy attempt!
And tho we weren't excited to come back home, we were greated by the vally with 80ish degree weather and a beautiful sunset! What more could you ask for?
