This just cracked me up!

Ahh the days when anything said about mormons was not about polygamy. But this did crack me up...turn down the music to listen to this!

What the fffff.......?

So tonight when I got home from work there was an unexpected visitor. Usually when someone gets home the dogs are going crazy, but this time when I came in they weren't even at the door. So I open the door and then they come running to me, but then they quickly run away over to the couch. So I start putting my stuff down, and they are barking, so I turn around and there is a cute little black cat (probably about 8 months old) sitting on my couch. So they start barking at it and it goes behind my couch. So a cat came into my house through the doggy door! What the heck. So I picked it up and took it outside and it followed me back in. Now I am a total lover of all things animal at heart. It was so cute! It had a collar on and a bell but no tag. Hello peoples!! Put tags on your cats too! Anyway so I pick it up again and take it to a bowl of food and water that someone (another animal lover) leaves out for the strays. I start to walk away and hear it jingiling behind me. NOOO DONT' FOLLOW ME! I would totally take it in and put up flyers if my dogs wouldn't eat it and if I weren't extremely allergic to cats. But thankfully it turned and started walking a different way. I hope it finds its way home. It was so cute! So that was my excitement for the day.

California '09!

So this past weekend Adam and I took his little bro Kevin to Disneyland. It was a much needed vacation. It got cut short a day because when we went to take Chester over to Adams parents house so they could watch him the weekend, Chester wouldn't stop attacking their dog. My dogs definitely need dog training of some sort. Anyway, once we got that resolved we left a day later. So on Sunday we went up to the Griffith Park Observatory. It is really cool, and then on Monday we went to Disneyland. And I'll tell ya...it happened to us again this year. Last year every day we were in California was sunny and beautiful, except the day we went to Disneyland, cold and rainy. Well guess what? Again this year. All weekend was sunny and warm, except when we went to Disneyland, gray and gloomy and rained pretty hard for a while. Now, I don't know if it was the weather, the fact that we went on a Monday, or that everyone is too poor to go to such an expensive place (we got in for free otherwise we wouldn't be taking such a trip), but there was hardly anyone there. You could actually walk, and the wait for all the rides was 15 minutes or less. It was totally sweet! So despite the gloomy wet weather we had a great time.

There is a cool Lego shop right outside of Disneyland, and they had a R2D2 made out of legos.

This actually wasn't at Disneyland, but at the Disney Studio lot. My aunt and uncle work there and we met her for lunch our last day before heading out. And actually while we were waiting at the gate to get our passes to get in, a really nice Bentley pulled in behind us, and then it pulled up next to us to get in and it was Queen Latifa! Totally awesome. Car and person! So I saw my star for this California adventure.

There was one shop that was all things Tinkerbell, and they had this awesome stained glass window. I had to take a picture.

The castle at night.

Just so everyone knows I skipped some of the more scarier rides, (Believe me I already got razzed enough about it) but I loved this river rafting ride in California adventure. So after we went on it one time and the boys got totally soaked, I had to go on it again by myself.

There is Adam way in the very back waiting to get shot up on the Screamin California roller coaster.

One cool thing about the fact that there weren't that much people there, was all the characters were out and about. Mr. Incredible.

Minnie Mouse

Stitch!

This is one ride I absolutely wouldn't go on. So there are Kevin and Adam, getting ready to get shot like 900 feet in the air.

There they are right after getting strapped in.

Goofy

Mickey (there was some kind of safari theme with the characters I guess)

Pluto

This was inside the Bugs life Theater. It's 3-D so you have to become an honorary bug. But it had all these funny posters of real plays but made by bugs.

Getting scared to go on the Indiana Jones ride. eeeeeekkkkk

They started getting mad at me cause I kept making them take pictures. haha

They guys from Cars

The castle during the day.

Cruella DeVille

Princess Jasmine
I can't remember her name......

Captain Hook...aarrrrgggg

A picture as we were coming in.

THE GRIFFITH PARK OBSERVATORY
This is how far away we had to park away from the observatory. I had flip flops on which wasn't the best thing to hike up a mountain in, but the funny thing was that I saw some women in like high heeled boots or just high heels. Really? I mean there wasn't that many people to look good for. But oh well. There was a lady, I should have taken her picture, but some old lady had on these HUGE sunglasses. Bigger than any celebrity that wears those. I mean they were huge!!
Yes I did make them take a picture going up to the observatory.
The observatory... It just got restored and built more underground just a couple of days ago.

This is the inside there is a huge pendulum and this is the ceiling that it hangs from.

Here is the pendulum. It shows that the earth is rotating. The only place that it won't swing is on the equator.

An actual moon rock. But don't be fooled that is not the actual moon behind it... just a replica!

This was pretty cool. We learned in a video that the reason that Einstein is sitting like that is, because on one whole back wall, floor to ceiling, it is just part of the universe, and there are tons of galaxies in that picture. But in actuality that whole wall represents just a part of the universe that would be behind your finger if you held it up to the night sky. Pretty cool.

Again....Not life size replicas...it was cool tho cause they had a station for each planet, where it had facts but then it had a scale that you could stand on and it showed how much you weigh for each planet. Even Pluto...which got kicked off the planet island.

You could see the Hollywood sign from the observatory.

And last but not least, I had to take a picture of Tommy's Burgers. Because I am currently taking a crime scene photography class, and the teacher is from LA. And he has told us more than one time that we can't be in this proffesion if we can't have a greasy Tommy's burger in one hand and be taking a picture of a dead body with the other.
Well there is our vacation. It was very nice and fun.
