So I was looking over everyone's blog, and seeing all the cool things that people did during the 4th of July. And it made me a little sad that I didn't do anything for the 4th. I went up to the roof of the parking garage at my work and from there I could see about 3 different firework displays close to downtown Mesa. But other than that... Yeah I worked. Adam, (the little stinker) had off, but he stayed at home to watch Mr. Copperpot. Chester needed to learn the lesson of, while it is totally fine to stick your nose in other dogs butts, you do not stick it in the tail end (or front end, we aren't sure) of a passing bug. His face swelled up so much, I was afraid his throat was going to swell shut. So for the 4th, we spent 5 hours in a waiting room of the Emergency vet, with a beagle that barked for 4 1/2 hours. Well let me rephrase that... I spent 5 hours at the vet. Adam was kinda a poop and I told him to go home so I wouldn't have to listen to him complain about how much it was going to cost us. But needless to say we survived and then I got to go to work. Which has been...well... quite a drag lately. I won't go into details, but I will say that there are certain people who bring their lousy home life troubles to work, and make it miserable for the rest of us. And of course I'm not done with school, so I can't go straight into my dream job, and nobody is hiring for anything else. Apparently we are in some kind of economic crisis? =P
But none the less, work has been a real drag lately. I really don't like working with people that complain all the time. However, on the bright side, it has made me take a look at how much I complain (like I'm doing now....sorry) and try to rectify it. So hopefully I'll get better at not complaining so much. I am however EXTREMELY excited about Hawaii in a month! And then I'll have some more pictures of something besides Chester!.
Ok... so I looked through my camera and did find some funny pics:
(oh and ps.... the song I put on here is for Mandy!)
This is Chester looking at Adam like he is a moron... Hello!!! he didn't want that toy.
This is of outside my apt. IT ACTUALLY RAINED!! And on the building right outside the flow off the roof reminded me of a waterfall somewhere in the jungle. I wanted to go stand under it and pretend I was in a shampoo commercial.
This unfortunately is what Chester does every time I try to load/unload the dishwasher.
So Trevor spent the night last week and I got him drunk! (Don't worry folks I'm not providing liquor to my 13 yr old brother, it's just IBC)
So in everything I've read, dogs like to have a den. A safe haven if you will.... However Chester has resorted to making his under our bed. So, he is slowly chewing up our box spring, has chewed into a box w/ Styrofoam, (which is now all over the floor), and broken into a storage bag and dragged out the dead corpse of a blanket and a sweater!! Yeah Chester!!
Now... this is my favorite. This morning before Adam went to work, he was complaining about how the bottom of his shirt was wrinkled weird. So I hear him get out the ironing board and iron, and I went in to actually see him ironing. Well this is what I saw... he was ironing it while still wearing it! Somehow, I don't think his mom taught him that trick. That is probably an Adam thing. But that's ok, I love him anyway.

yes...yes...more Chester
So I am sorry if any of you out there are getting tired of seeing Chester. But as of right now, our life is pretty boring. And he is the only thing interesting going on. But oh poor Chester... he was diagnosed with Mange last week. But all that means is that he is going bald at only 4 months old. But he is on the mend, eventually. I have some video of him playing with his BFF Scraps, but I have to remember how to put video on here. But other than that, life is pretty boring for us. So here is some more funny pictures of Mr. Copperpot:
I was scratching his belly and he really enjoyed it.
He was really REALLY enjoying it
But this is usually what he is doing.. Biting us. He really likes ponytails. I'll be sitting on the couch, and he will jump up, making me think he is going to calmly sit by me. Then he'll pretend that "oh wait!! the other side looks way better." Then as he is crawling behind me, he will jump up and grab my ponytail. Needless to say that yes.. it does hurt.
I'm thinking of sending this in to some talent agencies. I think he would make a great dog model!

More Picture of Chester
AHHHH how sweet.... Trevor and Chester chillin on the couch.
This is a normal scene when I come home. Chester usually hanging out with Adam while he is on the computer. Aparently cold. hmmmmm
Now this is Chester and Scraps. They play so hard and Chester thinks he is bigger than Scraps. I promise Chester wasn't humping Scraps (even though his new nickname is Chester the Molester...of legs) He just hopped on Scrap's back and just laid there. It was hilarious!
Random Tag
So I have been tagged with this and I have put it off because for the life of me this was one of the hardest things I've had to. But here goes...
The "Random Thing" Tag Rules...
1. You link back to the person who tagged you.
2. Post these rules on your blog
3. Share six random things about yourself
4. Tag six random people at the end of your entry
5. Let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs
6. Enjoy the results (though I don't like being expected to enjoy anything in particular...seems a rather personal thing to be instructed to do...you know, that kind of expectation really irks me...but...uh...now's not the time...)
1. One thing that is sure to make me cry (in a good way) is listening to classical music. It doesn't matter if I'm listening to a cd, or if it's live. I actually get more emotional when I am hearing it live, and I think that is partly due to the fact that it makes me really really miss playing the violin.
2. I have never had a desire to visit any Asian contries at all...ever. I don't know why they just seem dirty and a little sketchy. Not to say that Asian people are bad, I just never wanted to visit there. Plus it just seems too crowded.
3. Since I've gotten older my fear of hights has increased by about 80%. I don't know why, I get nervous before I go on a rollercoaster. I hate being in a tall building. I don't know why it's so bad in these past couple years... but it just has.
4. I love getting dirty. Anything that gets me dirty. Gardening, playing a sport in the mud. I just love getting dirty.
5. Whenever I watch a scary movie I have to watch something funny afterwards so I don't stay scared. And if I watch anything having to do with zombies I absolutely have to watch something funny after otherwise I will dream of zombies all night.
6. Hi... I'm Emily.... and I'm addicted to candy. All sorts. That's probably why I've become such a butterball in the last 6 months or so. I love it all. Oh and ice cream. But candy... right now I'm on a symphony bar kick. I just can't get enough.. I NEED HELP!!
No it seems that everyone I know has been tagged but here's a few:
Alethia
Crystal
Jill
Yeah... thats' about it, and if you have already done it then just ignore. =)
