Let's go Defense....

So quite a bit has happened the past couple of weeks. Maybe more so emotionally...(I seriously can't control them..it's driving me quite nuts-o) but it has been upsetting in my little bubble of a life. The last week of September I had to live all by myself for a whole week. I know that I sound like a baby about being by myself, when there are military wives and wives of frequent work travelers out there. But I am not used to this concept. Adam had to go to Houston for a week for training for his work. He had a fun time, but after a couple days he said he was ready to come home. He did say that the weather over in Houston was pretty much perfect while he was there though! (Hooray for Texas!). I'll admit I did just fine while I was home by myself during the day, however I hated sleeping by myself. I was very happy with the dogs though because usually when Adam is gone for a night or 2 they always end up barking at something in the middle of the night, and scaring the crap out of me. But they didn't bark at anything the whole week! I loved it. Good puppies! It also helped that I girded up my loins for the week by buying actual bullets for my gun and sleeping with it right on my nightstand. So needless to say I was oh so happy to see him come home. Well when I was home by myself I had a dr. apt and it was a bit upsetting because 1st of all I had to do the glucose test (eh not too bad), but the Dr. told me that I was measuring big for how far along I was so I needed to have an ultra sound to make sure everything was ok. Well, needless to say that once I left the office I couldn't stop crying, and worrying. So I went shopping and bought a new purse. That made me temporarily feel better (it is a cute purse). Well speed up to a week later I got to have my ultra sound and got to see my little goobers face. He was not very cooperative (he kept putting his hands in front of his face), but this is my favorite pic of him:

I definitely think he looks like Adam. This just makes me want to meet him even more. I can't wait. Well, needless to say all my worrying was for nothing. Everything looked fine. He was measuring about 2 weeks ahead. (Dare I get my hopes up he comes a little early?) Anyway, I just can't stop staring at this picture he is already so cute! I just love him!!!

So then some crap stuff happened at work (well crap for me but good for others) and all this past week I have been a complete emotional mess!! Adam keeps telling me that he can't wait for Sam to be here, but I think he is intentionally leaving off the 2nd part of his statement "I can't wait for Sam to be here!...because then you will stop acting like Jekyll and Hyde!" Of course he can't say that cause then I'll be thrown into a crying fit I'm sure.
Anyway, this work thing finally got me to go to the Community College over by my house and figure out exactly what I need in order to finish up my Associates. This made me very happy, because it is in reach. And I'm on my way to my ultimate education goal. It gets me all excited thinking about it.
So I'll end this post with today. While Adam was away I finally figured something fun to get Adam for a belated birthday present. I got him some Cardinals tickets to the Saints game today. It was totally fun!
I've never been to a football game before. And let me tell you...there is nothing like a football fan!! They are insane!

It was an awesome game and we actually won! Considering we were playing the Superbowl champs from last year! It was just so much fun. I really love sporting events.

Well that's my past couple of weeks. In retrospect maybe it wasn't too crazy and horrible as it seemed, but like I said before right now in my life I am not liking change a whole lot. Maybe because change means doing things out of my comfort zone. Or maybe I just want everything to be as sedentary and repetitive as possible because I know in 10 weeks (yes I only have 10 weeks left) my whole world will be turned upside down and EVERYTHING is going to change. Either way right now I just want sameness (word? IDK) So to me life has been a bit hectic but I guess that's life
